WildOcean has many years experience conducting badger, otter, deer and general mammal surveys for Environmental Impact Assessment, baseline surveys, and ecological monitoring.

Badgers
WildOcean has 15 years experience in conducting badger surveys and tracking. We conduct walkover surveys of development plots and route of planned roads or other developments. All badger setts, tracks and signs are mapped and GPS referenced. We also conduct bait marking surveys for mapping badger territories and are experienced in the trapping, tagging and remote tracking of badgers for studies of territories and habitat use.
Otters
WildOcean has 16 years experience in conducting otter surveys. We conduct walkover surveys of waterways, mapping and GPS referencing all otter spraint sites, tracks and holts. WildOcean is also expreienced in conducting walkover surveys of coastal habitats and offshore islands for otters.
Deer
WildOcean conducts walkover surveys for signs of deer activity, most commonly in connection with road developments and road fencing programmes where deer may present a danger to traffic. We map and GPS reference all deer droppings, tracks, paths and crossing points.

Small Mammals
We can conduct live trapping surveys for small mammals to identify species present and distribution.
Urban Foxes
WildOcean has been involved in the survey and research of Urban Foxes in Dublin since 1995. We have an in depth knowlege of urban fox ecology and can provide humane management solutions for problem urban foxes.
